The Greensburg Ghost Society is a Team of Paranormal Investigators that specializes in ghost hunting. We are located in Westmoreland County, Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Our paranormal team combines science, common sense, and empathy, we can learn more about the things that are beyond our understanding.
What started as a simple hobby in 2020 has grown into something we spend a great deal of time involved in. We’re always learning, experimenting, and growing.
Our investigations have taken us to many places, from asylums and prisons to poor farms and graveyards. We’re not afraid to explore the unknown and seek out ghostly encounters.
We approach our ghost hunting with a scientific mindset, using various tools and techniques to gather evidence and shed light on the unexplained. As we continue to explore new possibilities and push the boundaries of what is possible, we are constantly reminded of the power of innovation and creativity. It is through our willingness to take risks and think outside the box that we can make meaningful progress while learning about the paranormal world.
Ghost Hunting is not just about gadgets, although we use many tools. We like to take a scientific approach to Ghost Hunting that combines psychology and a healthy dose of skepticism. We believe in using evidence-based methods. By encouraging critical thinking and open-mindedness, we hope to inspire others to approach these phenomena with curiosity and skepticism, rather than fear or blind faith.
Our primary focus is on ghost hunting and investigating historic buildings. We are not limited to Greensburg Pa. and are willing to travel within a 30-60 mile area. We typically do not investigate private residences unless we have a personal connection to the owner.
During our investigations, we use three methods: some to collect data, some methods are for experiments, and we document personal experiences that can be validated by data, equipment, or another team member. We want to collect evidence in 2 ways, this may be on two cameras, or two audio devices or one of each. We believe we owe it to the paranormal community to be as authentic in our standards in investigations as possible.
Some of our Goals
We seek to find answers about life after death. As skeptics, we seek to find out if ghosts genuinely exist. We want to learn the causes of a potential haunting. We seek to have a balance between belief and skepticism. To question our own evidence, harshly, without bias or speculation. To follow a hypothesis through, to try various experiments, and to capture “repeated” evidence.

GGS as a Team always makes sure to act responsibly, professionally, and with integrity. We believe in treating others with respect, whether they are living or deceased. It’s important to us to follow the law, rules, and restrictions in any investigation we conduct.
When we investigate a property, we handle it with care, clean up after ourselves, and leave it just as we found it. We never trespass or enter areas without permission.
Safety is our top priority, so we always keep that in mind for ourselves and others. We would never defraud, abuse, or exploit anyone or any location, financially or otherwise. We also would never fake evidence of paranormal activity or misrepresent scientific or historical facts.
We believe in supporting other paranormal teams and inclusivity in the paranormal community.
Our mission is to investigate and document paranormal activity with respect, integrity, and open-mindedness. We strive to further our understanding of the supernatural world. By using thorough research, science, evidence collection, and analysis. We aim to shed light on the mysteries of the afterlife and bridge the gap between the living and the dead. Our ultimate goal is to learn, connect, and gather genuine evidence.
