The Greensburg Ghost Society is a small group of passionate folks who love what we do, both professionally and in our spare time. When we’re not working, you’ll find us out there investigating the paranormal and hunting ghosts on the weekends. What started as a simple hobby in 2020 has grown over the past few years. We’re always learning and experimenting.
Our investigations have taken us to many places – from asylums and prisons to poor farms, graveyards, and beyond. We’re not afraid to explore the unknown and seek out ghostly encounters.
We each have professional experience, life experiences, and even education that we use in our investigations. From psychology to business, the medical field to engineering, the diversity of our experiences allows us to approach problems from multiple angles and consider different solutions.
We approach our ghost hunting with a scientific mindset, using various tools and techniques to gather evidence and shed light on the unexplained. As we continue to explore new possibilities and push the boundaries of what is possible, we are constantly reminded of the power of innovation and creativity. It is through our willingness to take risks and think outside the box that we can make meaningful progress while learning about the paranormal world.
Our primary focus is on ghost hunting and investigating historic buildings. We are not limited to Greensburg only and are willing to travel within a 30-70 mile area. We typically do not investigate private residences unless we have a personal connection to the owner.
During our investigations, we use a variety of tools such as EMF readers, barometers, temperature gauges, and more to check for any paranormal activity. We also utilize esoteric communication tools like the Spirit box, divining rods, and trigger objects.
Our goal is to capture evidence on at least two devices and ensure that it repeats at least twice. We believe that different individuals can affect the energy in a space, so we often split into small groups and swap locations to compare information.
We make sure to debunk any potential paranormal activity by measuring, experimenting, and testing everything we encounter. Our team leader has a background in psychology and understands various illusions that can affect perceptions.
If you have an old or historic building you’d like us to investigate, please reach out to us.
Code of Ethics and Mission
GGS as a Team always makes sure to act responsibly, professionally, and with integrity. We believe in treating others with respect, whether they are living or deceased. It’s important to us to follow the law, rules, and restrictions in any investigation we conduct.
When we investigate a property, we handle it with care, clean up after ourselves, and leave it just as we found it. We never trespass or enter areas without permission because we respect people’s privacy.
Safety is our top priority, so we always keep that in mind for ourselves and others. We would never defraud, abuse, or exploit anyone or any location, financially or otherwise. We also would never fake evidence of paranormal activity or misrepresent scientific or historical facts.
We believe in supporting other paranormal teams and inclusivity in the paranormal community.
Our mission is to investigate and document paranormal activity with respect, integrity, and open-mindedness. We strive to further our understanding of the supernatural world. Through thorough research, evidence collection, and analysis, we aim to shed light on the mysteries of the afterlife and bridge the gap between the living and the dead. Our ultimate goal is to learn, connect, and have a unique rewarding experience.
